In April, 2002 Starbucks opened its first coffee stores in Spain, in a joint venture with Grupo Vips, the country’s leading multi-brand and multi-format restaurant and retail operator. Dédalo worked for months with both companies so that Starbucks coffee expertise and the company attributes were fully understood in the media. Following the Madrid openings we helped to position the company as they expanded into Barcelona, Seville and Valencia and later on the Vips/Starbucks entrance into France.
